About the role

  • Milestone Environmental Contracting Inc. (MECI) is seeking a Senior Project Manager to provide overall direction for the completion of mine closure projects.
  • This role involves managing projects primarily situated in the remote and semi-remote areas of northern Canada.
  • Project Managers are responsible for project performance including costs, schedule, planning, project coordination, quality, and project status.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and report on project performance to senior management.
  • Motivate project team staff to deliver quality results on time and on budget, and mentor others for success.
  • We provide contracting excellence to our clients, daring them to let us collaborate on their toughest and most sensitive projects across Canada.

Requirements

  • Experience Required:
  • Minimum of 8 years related experience is a must.
  • Experience working in the mine closure industry is desired.
  • Experience with Heavy Bid and Heavy Job software is desired.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities is an asset.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Education Requirements:
  • The ideal candidate will have a degree from an accredited university in a discipline relevant to mine or environmental engineering is preferred but not required, or equivalent, and a project management track record for leading large projects.
  • Minimum of 8 years related experience is a must. Experience working in the mine closure industry is desired.
