About the role
- The Genetic Counselor provides genetic counseling to patients referred for clinical genetic services.
- The Genetic Counselor coordinates the dissemination of clinical genetic information to the physicians, laboratories, other counselors and office staff at VCU.
- The Genetic Counselor participates in the education and training of genetic counseling students and other students in post graduate education in the VCU School of Medicine.
Requirements
- Must obtain certification within 2 years of date of hire into position
