About the role
- Produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
- Highly skilled in advanced setup and operation of 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC Mill Machines
Responsibilities
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Ability to manage multiple duties, set priorities and follow tasks through completion
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years experience setting up and operating CNC machines
- Self-starter with excellent time management skills and ability to establish objectives and specify the strategies and actions to achieve these objectives
- Experience with contact and non-contact inspection methods
Nice to have
- Excellent working knowledge of composites a huge PLUS
Skills
- Loads the program into the CNC machine, selects and sets up tools, loads stock, and runs the program.
Compensation
- The hourly range for this position falls within $30-$42.
- The final compensation will be determined based on experience, skillset, and other factors permitted by law.
