About the role

  • This role involves diagnosing and repairing issues related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, and appliances.
  • This position also involves supervising outside contractors, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily maintenance tasks and diagnose/repair issues in various areas.
  • Maintain pool, hot tub, and other amenities.
  • Maintain exterior property for curb appeal.
  • Schedule and document preventative maintenance and apartment turns.
  • Maintain inventory and assist in purchasing materials and supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.

Nice to have

  • HVAC-EPA (Type II) or EPA Universal certification strongly preferred.
  • Associates hired without an EPA certification will be required to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license strongly preferred.
  • Associates hired without a CPO license will be required to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience in supervising contractors preferred but not required.

Skills

  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliances
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements
  • General computer skills including operating a mobile device
  • Ability to be on-call for after-hours emergencies
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays

Compensation

  • Pay range is a calculation based on a midpoint price.
  • Fairfield complies with all wage and hour laws, including minimum wage and salary exempt requirements.
