About the role
- A fast-growing, Y Combinator-backed enterprise AI SaaS startup is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer based in Munich to embed with its largest DACH customers and help them become AI-native.
- This is a high-ownership, high-impact role for an engineer who thrives at the intersection of deep technical work and direct customer partnership.
- Significant travel across the DACH region is expected.
Responsibilities
- When platform limits arise, collaborate directly with the internal engineering team - and often write the fixes yourself.
- Automate your own work by building agents that eliminate manual, repetitive tasks.
- Experience building custom integrations with enterprise systems and MCP servers for agent deployment.
Requirements
- Proven track record shipping agentic AI systems, tool-use loops, and LLM-powered features that operate reliably under load.
- Native-level German proficiency.
- Based in Munich or willing to relocate, with the ability to travel across DACH.
- Experience shipping a product or feature from scratch in a professional setting.
Nice to have
- Go programming language experience.
- Founder or early-employee startup experience.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tooling (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) for building agents.

Compensation
- Salary: $80,000 - $150,000 USD annually (or local equivalent)
