About the role
- Independently conducts routine and non-routine analyses of geological samples, fusion, and cupellation.
Responsibilities
- Perform fusion and cupellation processes using furnace tools;
Requirements
- Laboratory experience in a production-oriented environment would be an asset.
- Must be willing to comply with the following H&S requirements:
- Wear issued personal protective equipment (PPE) such as dust masks, gloves etc., when required
- Undergo a lead blood test required every six months
- Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Nice to have
- Diploma or Degree in Science preferred.
Skills
- Familiarity with all fire assay methods and their respective digestion volumes and finish methods;
- Strong analytical and mechanical skills;
- Organized and highly motivated individual;
- Detail-oriented individual;
- Ability to effectively handle a high volume of work and time-critical issues;
- Basic English communication skills
- Safety oriented.
