Performs semi-skilled maintenance and repair of electrical, plumbing, HVAC support systems, and mechanical equipment.
Performs installation and repair of fixtures, equipment, and building components in classrooms, labs, offices, and common areas.
Assists with preventative maintenance programs for building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building infrastructure.
Operates and maintains equipment, including forklifts, pressure washers, carpet extractors, power tools, and campus vehicles.
Maintains maintenance records, inventory of supplies, and equipment logs.
Performs general building repairs, including painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and minor electrical and plumbing work.
Maintains cooperative relationships with faculty, staff, students, and visitors while resolving maintenance issues.
Maintenance Worker II performs advanced maintenance and repair work to support the safe and efficient operation of university facilities.
This position performs semi-skilled to skilled maintenance tasks in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC support, and mechanical systems.

High school diploma or GED required.
2-5 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, or related trades.
Demonstrated experience performing semi-skilled maintenance work in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or HVAC systems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities KSAs:
however, occasional overtime, on-call work, or emergency work on campus (including weekends and evenings) may be required.
Transcripts issued outside of the United States require a equivalency statement from a certified transcript evaluation service verifying the degree equivalency to that of an accredited institution within the USA.

Technical training, vocational certification, or related trade experience preferred.

TARGET HIRING SALARY: $21.00 - $21.75 ($43,680 - $45,240), commensurate with experience.
