About the role
- HB Studios is a driving force in the creation of sports video games and the studio behind PGA TOUR 2K Golf - presently working on Console and PC.
- We have an opportunity for a Junior Level Designer to join our team of developers, creators, and fans, who are passionate about the art and process involved in video game development.
- Location & Relocation This position is based in Nova Scotia.
Nice to have
- Assist in recreating authentic golf courses for in-game use from real-world reference data.
- Flesh out a course's visual needs in detail and work with artists to establish final appearance.
- Provide feedback on our user-facing Course Designer tools based on your hands-on experience using them.
- Use the provided toolset and operate on the outlined processes for handling working files, implementing levels, vetting check-ins, etc.
- Assist in ensuring that tools and features work as intended and coordinate with QA team to log bugs and write reproduction steps.
- Familiarity with the public Course Designer tools in the PGA TOUR 2K series is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with the Unity game engine is a secondary plus.
- Ability to learn new software and technical processes.
