About the role
- The Senior Research Manager is a key contributor within Mercer Advisors' Portfolio Management Group (PMG), which is responsible for the oversight and implementation of the firm's investment solutions across billable AUM.
- This includes portfolio strategies, S eparately Managed Accounts (S MAs ), mutual funds, ETFs, special situations, and private investment vehicles.
- The analyst will work closely with the Director, Investment Research, and other members of the Investment Research Team to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the firm's investment platform.
Responsibilities
- In this role, the Senior Research Manager will support the investment research process through manager due diligence, capital markets research, performance analysis, and documentation of investment policies and procedures.
- Collect, analyze, and maintain asset class-level data and performance metrics (e.g. Modern Portfolio Theory statistics), with a focus on fixed income, special solution s, and derivative instruments.
- Draft, maintain, and update detailed memos on strategies - incorporating due diligence questionnaires, fund manager engagement and quantitative monitoring reports - that adhere to compliance and operational guidelines.
