About the role

  • IEX is looking for our next Systems Reliability Engineer - The right person for the job will be an insatiably curious tinkerer with technical chops, who has done this type of role before.
  • In this role, you will be constantly optimizing and automating our processes and systems to improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Coding and scripting are part of our daily life (we like python, bash, ansible and rust).

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the engineering process as we design, build, and manage our systems.
  • Build tools to monitor and automate processes.
  • Document current and future configuration processes and policies.
  • General familiarity with Data Center workflows and working with DC personnel to implement changes

Requirements

  • Automation experience with Ansible or a similar configuration management tools
  • Hands-on experience with Linux, python, bash, and git
  • Experience supporting large, complex, and distributed systems
  • Experience with any layer in our stack (Linux, Java, C++) is highly beneficial, particularly around the areas of performance and capacity.

Nice to have

  • Plus, you will take on real-time responsibilities, such as monitoring, incident management, and recovery.
  • Experience in an agile environment is a plus, and a willingness to tackle the challenge of innovating within a regulated environment is key.

Compensation

  • The starting annual base pay is between $150,000 and $225,000 for this California or Oregon state based position.
