Sompo has a unique opportunity for an Underwriting Technician in our E&S Property Team.

Create, register, process and distribute binders, policies, and endorsements within processing standards
Proactively communicate with producers for any outstanding information and ensure timely follow-up to support the underwriting process
Implement and maintain a field service reputation that is recognized as superior in the industry
Provide backup support to team members to ensure continuity of operations and maintain service standards
Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas to drive our business
As an Underwriting Technician, you'll manage policy submissions and ensure timely processing and delivery of quotes, binders, and policies to producers, meeting established service standards.
You'll also support the underwriting team by providing technical analysis and insights to help evaluate risk and inform decisions.

Minimum 3 years of experience in underwriting or insurance support with similar responsibilities
Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

$60,000 - $85,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.

Our compensation program is built on a foundation that promotes a pay-for-performance culture, resulting in higher incentive awards, on average, when the Company does well and lower incentive awards when the Company underperforms.
The total compensation opportunity for all regular, full-time employees is a combination of base salary and incentives that gets adjusted upfront based on overall Company performance with final awards based on individual performance.
