Responsibilities
- Application Development: Design, develop, maintain, and support engineering software solutions for modeling thermodynamic and transport for the chemical and petroleum industry, including flash algorithms, data regression, property estimation, and more.
- Research: Investigate new and developing technologies as they appear in industry and in academia to determine how to leverage these technologies within our software applications.
- Technical Leadership: act as the subject matter expert for the use of physical property calculations within our software applications, leading engineers to develop robust solutions.
- AspenTech solutions address complex environments where it is critical to optimize the asset design, operation and maintenance lifecycle.
- 10+ years of industrial or academic experience in developing thermodynamic or transport property models.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, with a preference for a PhD.
Nice to have
- Experience in process engineering and optimization will be extremely important including real life user experience of AspenTech Performance Engineering products such Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Plus.
