About the role
- include documenting student progress, maintaining accurate records, and utilizing instructional technologies and tools relevant to the trade.
Requirements
- Skills: Strong knowledge of construction methods.
- Requires an associate's degree in Building Construction, Construction Technology, or a closely related field.
- The instructor must be able to read and interpret technical documents such as safety regulations, building codes, blueprints, and construction manuals.
Nice to have
- Experience in residential and/or commercial construction preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Must hold (or be willing to obtain) OSHA certification, forklift certification, and other industry certifications preferred.
- A combination of licensure and/or certification in conjunction with work experience may be considered in the absence of a college degree.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction methods.
- Ability to demonstrate and teach carpentry, framing, finishing, and general construction techniques.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use instructional technologies.
- Commitment to student success and inclusive teaching practices.
- Position is open until filled.
Compensation
- $10k-$15k
