- Lead construction of new and upgraded high‑voltage substations from site mobilization through commissioning and energization.
- Oversee contractor construction and maintenance activities in accordance with project documents, engineering standards, utility requirements, and industry best practices.
- Develop, maintain, and manage detailed construction schedules; track milestones and proactively identify and mitigate potential delays.
- Coordinate material logistics, including procurement status, inventory management, and delivery to job sites to support uninterrupted construction.
- Enforce OSHA regulations, utility safety policies, and environmental requirements, ensuring a safe working environment on active high‑voltage job sites.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate job‑site hazards; ensure safe work practices around energized electrical equipment.
- Review engineering designs, drawings, and construction documents to validate constructability, quality, and schedule alignment.
- Perform routine field inspections, maintain QA/QC documentation, and verify contractor workmanship and material compliance.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with NEC, NESC, utility standards, and project specifications.
- Serve as the primary on‑site point of contact for clients, engineers, EPC partners, vendors, and local authorities.
- Lead construction and coordination meetings; communicate safety concerns, schedule impacts, design deviations, and material issues.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and safety leadership to support efficient and coordinated project execution.
- Supervise and guide field crews and subcontractors, providing direction, coaching, performance feedback, and conflict resolution.
- Proactively identify and resolve construction challenges that impact safety, schedule, cost, or quality.
