About the role
- This position is the standard bearer for who we are and the obsession we have with being the market leader in Hand Tools.
- The position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Is the primary developer of personnel on assigned equipment. Leads spot correction training, scheduled training, and identifies barriers to development of their team
- Coordinates with the Department Lead and Plant Supervisor to fulfil Work Orders
- Maintains communication with Inventory Control, Purchasing, and Planning T eam s to ensure materials are accurately utilized in an efficient manner.
Requirements
- Possess proven mechanical ability or aptitude
- Accuracy a nd attention to detail required
- Prior training and development experience
- Knowledge of automated systems or the willingness to learn
- The ability to effectively communicate to the team is crucial to the continue d success and development of the personnel and equipment managed.
- M athematical and analytical skills
Nice to have
- Associates Degree in Operations Field preferred
- 1-2 yrs. of production experience
- Ability to interpret work instruction and use key performance indicators to enact change
- Understanding of Lean/6S methodology
