Responsibilities
- Define and deliver the engineering roadmap in partnership with product and design - balancing innovation, reliability, scalability, and quality across the commerce domain.
- Drive alignment across squads and cross-functional partners to deliver key initiatives while managing competing priorities and trade-offs between speed, technical debt, and innovation.
- Partner with data and analytics teams to make commerce smarter - improving pricing, promotion, and checkout experiences that increase conversion and retention.
- Mentor and develop engineering leaders, with a focus on succession planning, leadership growth, and building a strong technical bench.
- Own staffing and organizational strategy - hiring, headcount planning, and structuring teams to match the evolving needs of the Commerce domain.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years leading multiple teams or organizations in high-growth environments.
Skills
- Strong communication skills and executive presence - able to translate between technical and business stakeholders.
