About the role
- The Industrial Powertrain Solutions segment of Regal Rexnord is seeking a Materials Manager II at our Erie, PA location.
- This role is the primary point of coordination and interface within the supply chain and operations organizations at the Erie plant.
Responsibilities
- Leads a team of Planning, Purchasing, Scheduling, Inventory, Receiving, Shipping, and Logistics professionals to define and execute the site's materials strategy.
- Owns the materials portion of the SIOP process including supply planning, capacity planning, materials availability, inventory forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Supports the Operations and Plant Manager in assessing supply chain risks and implementing countermeasures to achieve operational and financial objectives.
- Drives alignment between customer demand, production schedules, and supplier capabilities to ensure on-time delivery and efficient inventory utilization.
- Leads forecasting and order fulfillment activities to ensure customer requirements are met while optimizing working capital.
- Develops and maintains strong supplier relationships while leading escalation efforts and corrective action plans for supplier delivery, quality, and capacity issues.
- Leads sourcing and supplier development activities in partnership with Corporate Sourcing and Category Management teams.
- Improves ERP effectiveness by ensuring master data integrity and proper planning parameters to drive automation and planning accuracy.
- Leads physical inventory counts, cycle count programs, and initiatives to improve overall inventory accuracy.
- Implements, manages, and continuously improves all processes related to procurement, planning, scheduling, inventory management, receiving, warehousing, shipping, logistics, forecasting, and demand management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in materials management, supply chain, purchasing, inventory planning, scheduling, or logistics within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience managing planning, purchasing, or materials teams.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, including Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), purchasing, inventory management, and scheduling functionality.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing working capital, inventory investment, forecasting, and business case development.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions using incomplete information.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority.
- Ability to travel up to 10% as business needs require.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization.
- Demonstrated experience leading supplier management, inventory optimization, forecasting, and SIOP processes.
- Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated success driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting engineered-to-order (ETO), make-to-order (MTO), assembly-to-order (ATO), or mixed manufacturing environments preferred.
- Preferred Skills and
- SAP experience is strongly preferred.
- APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, ISM, CPM, or related professional certification preferred.
- Lean and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.
