About the role

  • Perioperative nurse addresses the impact of the surgical experience on the patient's physiological, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual responses.
  • Perioperative nursing role and activities performed during the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases of the patient's surgical intervention.

Requirements

  • Req Bachelor's degree Nursing Degree in Nursing (BSN) *Grandfathered from BSN if hired prior to 12/2019
  • Req 1 year Operating room nurse in an acute setting immediately prior to application.
  • Req Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, read and write English proficiently.
  • Perioperative nurses possess and apply knowledge of procedure and patient's intraoperative experience throughout the patient care continuum.

  • Required Licenses/ Certifications:
  • Req Registered Nurse - RN (CA Board of Registered Nursing) Valid California Registered Nursing license
  • Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
