About the role
- The Advance Planner (AP) is accountable for coordinating assets to meet the needs of clients, drivers, and the company.
- The AP focuses on maximizing driver utilization and controlling costs while proactively identifying issues, capturing opportunities, and communicating effectively across teams.
- Specific Responsibilities include: Planning: Analyze driver, tractor, and trailer availability to determine capacity, constraints, and opportunities within the region.
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks such as load tracking, balance management, and customer communication.
- Proven team player with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships.
- This role works closely with Regional Planners to accurately forecast asset availability and optimize freight allocation within the assigned region.
- Develop and communicate effective planning strategies to Fleet Management, adjusting plans as needed based on changing conditions.
- Support daily operations through decision-making, volume and asset management, and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Planning Supervisor to guide decision-making aligned with business objectives.

Requirements
- Our Ideal Candidate will possess: 1-3 years of previous transportation or logistics experience is an asset.
Nice to have
