About the role

Tufts University is a student-centered research university dedicated to the creation and application of knowledge.

As a key member of the TAG team, the Student Giving and Engagement Officer leads the Tufts Student Alumni Collective (TSAC), Tufts' student-facing philanthropy and engagement program.
This role is responsible for building a culture of giving among Tufts students, running signature fundraising campaigns, cultivating campus partnerships, and preparing students to become engaged alumni donors and volunteers.
Interest in and ability to leverage Excel and other technology to organize, prioritize, track, and manage a large constituency base at a personal level.
Creative thinker with a passion for developing innovative engagement strategies.
Experience managing social media and creating content across formats (reels, static posts, stories); familiarity with design tools such as Canva is preferred.

Knowledge and experience are typically acquired by:
Bachelor's Degree
0-2+ years of relevant experience in fundraising, student engagement, event planning, or a related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to connect with diverse audiences.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Experience managing social media and creating content across formats (reels, static posts, stories)
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software applications, including Word and Excel.
Familiarity with database management and reporting tools is a plus

Minimum $55,600.00, Midpoint $69,500.00, Maximum $83,400.00
Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
The University Advancement Division seeks a Student Giving and Engagement Officer to join the Tufts Annual Giving Team (TAG).
TAG is responsible for the strategy, design, and implementation of a comprehensive annual fundraising program, with a focus on leadership annual fund giving, class-based reunion fundraising, volunteer-driven philanthropy, and fostering a strong culture of giving across the university.
This role also leads senior class engagement programming, recruits and manages a 1st Reunion volunteer committee, builds partnerships across campus departments, and collaborates with the broader TAG team on annual giving priorities.
