- MAIN DUTIES: The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing overnight front office operations while completing day-end accounting and audit functions.
Responsibilities
- Perform nightly audit procedures to balance and reconcile daily revenue, guest ledger activity, and accounts receivable
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of overnight activity, incidents, and guest interactions
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Ensure guest safety and security overnight, reporting any unusual activity or incidents to management or security as required
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Nice to have
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications
- PMS experience preferred
Skills
- The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Ability to work overnight shifts and remain alert and focused throughout the entire shift
- Previous Front Office, Night Audit, or Accounting experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a passion for numbers and reconciliation accuracy
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications; PMS experience preferred
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment
- Calm, professional demeanor with strong guest service skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as required
- University or college degree in Hospitality, Accounting, or a related field is an asset
