Responsibilities

  • Lead & Innovate: Design complex, scalable, and maintainable software features across various architectures (including microservices, DDD/CQRS, and event-driven systems).
  • Optimize Performance: Analyze technical challenges, identify system bottlenecks, and author technical documentation to optimize large-scale transactional processing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 4-6 years of relevant software engineering experience.

Nice to have

  • We operate across a wide variety of tech stacks to solve complex problems.
  • You do NOT need experience with all of these to be a great fit.
  • If you are highly skilled in a few of these areas and have a strong foundation in software engineering, our recruiting team will work with you to find the WellSky team that best aligns with your background!
  • Backend:.NET/C#, Python (Django/Flask), Java, or Ruby.
  • Frontend: Modern JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: GCP (preferred), AWS, Azure, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes/Helm.
  • Architecture & Data: RESTful/GraphQL APIs, event-driven messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ/PubSub), and relational/cloud databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, BigQuery).
  • AI Tools: Experience or strong interest in using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code).

Compensation
