About the role

  • The General Superintendent/Construction Manager position will supervise assigned project activities, including overseeing all field operations, site safety, productivity, schedule, quality work, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • The GS/CM will coordinate and work in conjunction with the Project Manager leading the project team.
  • Minimum requirement is a High School diploma, with 15+ years of related experience.

  • Document status of project with digital photographs daily

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively use a computer and required software (Procore, Microsoft Office, MS Project)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Knowledge of permitting, review and inspection process
  • Ability to monitor and respond to multiple scopes of work occurring simultaneously
  • Ability to forecast scheduling challenges and present possible solutions
  • Ability to complete all assigned tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to be alert to all that is taking place on the job site.
  • Ability to show truthfulness and honesty in all situations.
  • Ability to be decisive and to recognize key factors and provide input to make difficult decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.

Compensation

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience as an on-site Superintendent/Construction Manager; experience with above listed responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of construction trades with focus on sitework, concrete, steel, MEP, and interior finishes.
  • Experience with cast in place concrete and shotcrete is strongly preferred.
  • DMV checks performed annually.
