About the role
- Ameresco's Federal Operations & Maintenance Group has a new opportunity for a Journeyman Electrician experienced in inspecting, troubleshooting, and maintaining commercial solar and/or battery storage facilities.
- This opportunity is based in Ewa Beach HI.
Responsibilities
- and install, remove and maintain solar site equipment such as batteries, solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA equipment under the supervision of the field supervisors and operations manager.
- Repair, test, troubleshoot, inspect; and install, remove and maintain solar site equipment such as batteries, solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA equipment under the supervision of the field supervisors and operations manager.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or the equivalent is required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of industrial electric/electronic maintenance experience in the repair, inspection, testing, installation and/or maintenance of related electrical/electronic equipment.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of Solar PV and Battery Storage is preferred.
- Experience or training with Sunny Central UP, Solectria XGI series Inverters.
- Demonstrated knowledge of electricity, voltage and current relationships for both AC and DC circuits.
- Ability to successfully complete position training and testing requirements.
- Ability to push, pull, bend, stand, stoop, lift, carry, reach, climb, hear, see, and work on ladders for extended periods of time with hands and arms at heights to install and troubleshoot equipment.
- OSHA training and certification preferred.
- Valid Drivers' License in good standing, issued by state of residence.
- Ability to review confidential US security information.
