About the role

  • Blew & Associates P.A. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
  • Since then, we have grown into a multidisciplinary land surveying, civil engineering, and environmental firm.
  • Now, we boast over 100 survey crews nationwide, with offices in Arkansas (HQ), Texas, Oklahoma, North Carolina, and Indiana.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough property walk-through surveys and assessments of commercial MEP building systems nationwide.
  • Assessments will include the review of: Mechanical (HVAC) systems: Boilers, chillers, cooling towers, Air Handling Units (AHUs), Refrigeration systems, Cooling and Airflow Management systems, Building Automation/Management systems (BAS/BMS), etc.
  • Develop proactive solutions and estimating costs to remedy physical deficiencies per ASTM Standards and Client-specific scopes of work.
  • Lead MEP-focused efforts, while providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior professionals on inspection protocols, technical standards, and PCA best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of relevant building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently upon receiving necessary directives.
  • Ability to travel in the USA and sometimes internationally.
  • Demonstrated ability to train junior technical staff.

Nice to have

  • PE License (strongly preferred) LEED AP, CMEPM, CEM (preferred) OSHA Certification (30 hours) is recommended.
