About the role
- We are seeking a driven, student-centered Support Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
- The Support Teacher plays an essential role in helping students feel successful, supported, and connected throughout the school day.
- The Support Teacher will follow a daily schedule and primarily partner with two classroom teachers.
Responsibilities
- Primarily support two classroom teachers with instruction, classroom routines, and student needs.
- Lead small-group ELA instruction using provided lesson plans, materials, and student data.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group academic, behavioral, social, and emotional support.
- Collaborate with teachers and student-support staff to monitor and communicate student progress, needs, and concerns.

- Engage in ongoing professional development and actively seek and apply feedback to improve practice.
- Align your work with school-wide priorities and strategic initiatives.

- Hold an associate degree from an accredited institution
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience working directly with school-aged children in a school, after-school program, preschool, summer camp, or similar youth-serving setting is preferred.
- Experience working in urban school communities is preferred.

- After your first year, you may be eligible for 5% or 10% increases annually based on your classroom impact, without needing additional graduate coursework.
