- Administers basic treatments (e.g. dressing changes, telemetry, specimen collection).
- Measures and records vital signs, I&Os, and monitors patient condition.
- Job Function 2: Reports changes in patient condition: Knowledgeable of the normal values and ranges for vital signs and I&O's, recognizes abnormal findings and reports to the primary nurse.

- Assists with ADLs, hygiene, mobility, toileting, and emotional support.
