About the role

Cottingham & Butler is seeking a Technical Insurance Trainer to strengthen the expertise, confidence, and performance of our Property & Casualty teams.

Responsibilities

Build and lead the technical training curriculum for our commercial P&C teams-from onboarding to continuing development.
Partner with leaders and internal SMEs to define core technical competencies for each role.
Deliver training through virtual, in‑person, and self‑paced formats.
In this impactful role, you will design and deliver training programs that support onboarding, technical development, and long‑term growth across our commercial P&C organization.

Requirements

Experience participating in or facilitating insurance brokerage training programs.
Strong understanding of P&C insurance fundamentals-including underwriting, coverages, and risk management.
Experience designing or delivering technical training in a corporate or professional services environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LMS platforms, and virtual training tools such as Microsoft Teams.

Background in commercial insurance brokerage operations.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice to have

Bachelor's degree required
Master's degree preferred.
Experience with instructional design tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate) is a plus.
