Responsibilities
- These incumbents work with other professionals who share responsibility for broader business processes providing support and advice to ensure project priorities follow PGW and other regulatory body standards.
- Staff Engineer coordinates and establishes a consensus of approvals regarding designs, layouts, and equipment selections to facilitate resolutions.
- Review and provide input regarding current recommended project designs and procedures for adherence to safe design alternatives.
- Review and provide input regarding current recommended procedures for adherence to cost estimates and budgets for capital engineering projects to develop an understanding of how projected budgets are created.
- Assist in the analysis of historical engineering project design concepts, budgets, proposal, and technical solutions to assist in the development of future departmental budgets.
