Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will design, execute and interpret experiments, utilizing an understanding of best practice electrochemistry methods.
- Scientist at Illumina, you will work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment to play an integral role in developing new sequencing technologies.
- As part of the Material and Applied Surface Science group, you will play an integral role in developing new sequencing technologies and related applications.
Requirements
- Expertise in electrochemistry and electrochemical techniques pertaining to biodetectors.
- Experience in method development of stability of the electrode system using electrochemical, analytical and surface analysis tools.
- Experience in electrochemistry in constricted volume.
- Experience with a wide range standard analytical techniques and surface characterization techniques.
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree
- or 3 years and a Master's degree
- Ph.D. in Electrochemistry, Chemistry or Material Science with minimal experience (0-1 years)
Nice to have
- Experience in micro/nano-fabrication of electrodes will be a plus.
- Understanding of microfluidics, fluorescence based assays, and fundamentals of DNA (bio)chemistry is a plus
