About the role

  • Achieve the production plan as defined in the annual budget
  • The Pump Assembler pulls parts as defined in customer work orders and assembles pumps using engineering drawings in accordance with established standards.

Responsibilities

  • Performs spot checks of products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards. Verifies measurements for accuracy and reports any problems or discrepancies to management.
  • Maintains neat and orderly work areas at all times.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to achieve forklift driving certification
  • 2+ years of mechanical experience
  • Must be able to read and understand detailed work orders and translate that information into the pump assembly process, including basic math and measurement conversions
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and up to 150 pounds with assistance
  • No travel required
  • Safety gear is required in these areas.
  • Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to work with hands using small hand tools, lifts, etc., for pump assembly process
  • Ability to manage multiple projects where priority changes based on customer demand is frequent
  • Capability of communicating easily with supervisor and peers in a team environment
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Work Environment
  • This position works primarily in a production floor environment where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas.
  • This position reports into the site every day.
