Responsibilities
- Perform welding, fitting, setup, and layout of raw and formed metal using established procedures to produce finished components that meet specifications.
- Perform basic maintenance and care of welding equipment and workstations to support safe, efficient operations.
- Follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and standard processes to deliver consistent, repeatable results.
- Collaborate with teammates on shared tasks and continuous improvement efforts within the manufacturing area.
- Your contributions will help the team meet production goals and support Coperion's success within Hillenbrand.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations related to measurements and layouts.
- Shift 1 (United States of America) As a Welder, you'll play an important role in producing durable, high-quality equipment that supports industrial manufacturing worldwide.
- You'll join Coperion, a Hillenbrand company, at our Sabetha, Kansas facility, where disciplined execution and attention to detail drive daily work.
- We design and manufacture processing equipment and systems used across a range of industries that rely on safe, reliable material handling and processing.
Requirements
- Clean, grind, and finish welds using appropriate tools and methods to achieve required appearance and performance.
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior hands-on welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions.
- Working knowledge of welding tools, equipment, and standard safety practices.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work that meets defined standards.
- Ability to follow established procedures, accept guidance, and learn new tasks as needed.
