Responsibilities
- Rapid System Acquisition: Demonstrate the drive and capability to quickly learn new products and systems, developing sufficient expertise to effectively train others
- Deep Technical Knowledge: Maintain expertise across hardware, software, networking, and operational procedures to deliver credible, field-informed training
- Documentation Leadership: Produce and maintain clear, well-structured technical documentation, training materials, and reference guides
- Knowledge Architecture: Design knowledge management systems that capture institutional knowledge and prevent single points of failure
- Capability Assessment: Identify systemic capability gaps across the workforce and design training solutions that scale with new products and processes
- Data-Driven Training: Conduct gap analyses to develop targeted, data-driven training plans that address specific skill deficiencies
- SME Partnership: Collaborate with other subject matter experts, engineering teams, and sustainment engineers to develop effective training content
- Demonstrate the drive and capability to quickly learn new products and systems, developing sufficient expertise to effectively train others
- Maintain expertise across hardware, software, networking, and operational procedures to deliver credible, field-informed training

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical field operations, deployed software engineering, or technical hands-on operational roles
- Proven track record of becoming a Subject Matter Expert on a system and sharing that knowledge with others
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to rapidly learn complex technical systems
- Design comprehensive training frameworks and curricula that span from onboarding through advanced technical proficiency for Tech Ops engineers
- Set training priorities, proficiency thresholds, and certification standards that ensure operational readiness

Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Software, Technology or related technical field
- advanced degree preferred
- Experience with defense systems, autonomous platforms, or complex hardware/software integration
- Experience establishing training standards, certification programs, or competency frameworks
- Prior military instructor experience or equivalent technical training roles
- Experience as a Forward Deployed Software Engineer

Compensation
- $132,000 - $198,000 USD
