Rapid System Acquisition: Demonstrate the drive and capability to quickly learn new products and systems, developing sufficient expertise to effectively train others
Deep Technical Knowledge: Maintain expertise across hardware, software, networking, and operational procedures to deliver credible, field-informed training
Documentation Leadership: Produce and maintain clear, well-structured technical documentation, training materials, and reference guides
Knowledge Architecture: Design knowledge management systems that capture institutional knowledge and prevent single points of failure
Capability Assessment: Identify systemic capability gaps across the workforce and design training solutions that scale with new products and processes
Data-Driven Training: Conduct gap analyses to develop targeted, data-driven training plans that address specific skill deficiencies
SME Partnership: Collaborate with other subject matter experts, engineering teams, and sustainment engineers to develop effective training content
Demonstrate the drive and capability to quickly learn new products and systems, developing sufficient expertise to effectively train others
Maintain expertise across hardware, software, networking, and operational procedures to deliver credible, field-informed training
Produce and maintain clear, well-structured technical documentation, training materials, and reference guides

5+ years of experience in technical field operations, deployed software engineering, or technical hands-on operational roles
Proven track record of becoming a Subject Matter Expert on a system and sharing that knowledge with others
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to rapidly learn complex technical systems
Design comprehensive training frameworks and curricula that span from onboarding through advanced technical proficiency for Tech Ops engineers
Set training priorities, proficiency thresholds, and certification standards that ensure operational readiness

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Software, Technology or related technical field
advanced degree preferred
Experience with defense systems, autonomous platforms, or complex hardware/software integration
Experience establishing training standards, certification programs, or competency frameworks
Prior military instructor experience or equivalent technical training roles
Experience as a Forward Deployed Software Engineer
