About the role

  • This position provides daily guidance to student workers and ensures a smooth front desk operation of the Health Information Management and Compliance department.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ongoing on-line compliance by verifying immunizations for transient students in the Florida Shines database with the UCF Registrar's Office.
  • Our services are designed with students, faculty and staff needs in mind.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 0+ years of relevant experience.
  • Applicants claiming preference are responsible for providing required documentation by the closing date of the position.
  • All applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer.
  • Timely completion of all required university, AHSC, and SHS Trainings.

Nice to have

  • Experience training and supporting student staff or part-time team members.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience working within a reception or front-desk environment.
  • The most successful candidates will have the following qualities:
  • Ability to communicate and work alongside clinic staff, students, patients, and visitors in an effective and professional manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Staff the reception desk for the Health Information Management department, facilitate the flow of students and patients, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience.
  • Upload immunization forms into the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
