About the role

  • Summary The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides specialty and preventive cardiac health care services to an adult population.
  • In collaboration with the attending physician, provides all aspects of acute care including patient admissions, consults, follow-up care and discharges.
  • Coordinates specialty care and discharge management for acute care patients.

Responsibilities

  • Prescribes and manages medications.
  • Performs, interprets and makes appropriate changes to cardiac devices. (Pacemakers, ICD's, Loop
  • Safely performs and interprets stress tests, communicates findings and makes appropriate follow-up.
  • Maintains professional development.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Physicians Assistant Certification Program is required.
  • For Physician Assistants: Completion of an accredited Physicians Assistant Certification Program is required.
  • Certification required: ACLS.
  • Licensure required: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse: New Hampshire license as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and DEA license.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to bend, do repetitive motion, perform activities that require fine motor skills, reach, sit, speak, stand, and walk.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb, kneel, smell, and squat.
