About the role

  • The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 4 is responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance (specify equipment on your site).
  • Acts as a senior material handling technician on all equipment installed at the Vandalia.
  • This role will require you to work 4:30 pm to 4:30 am on a rotating Panama shift.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belt tracking, component adjustments, replacements, and lubrication.
  • Build and close work orders in our asset management system, recording labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
  • Track and manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability for maintenance tasks.
  • Perform complex maintenance and equipment testing to verify they meet world-class specifications.
  • Leadership skills to guide projects, manage teams, and advise on day-to-day operations and tasks.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates senior-level expertise with 5-7 years of experience in a technical or specialty area.
  • Proven track record in the area of responsibility with successful demonstration of key tasks.
  • Ability to push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
  • Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.

Nice to have

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Associate's degree or vocational technical training preferred, with specialized skill training/certification being a plus.

Compensation

  • This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.
  • The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $35 to $39.50 an hour at the time of posting.
  • Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
