Responsibilities
- Implements architecture strategies and standards to deliver optimal perfor mance, security, and cost efficiency within guidelines.
- Builds and updates infrastructure-as-code (IaC) scripts and templates to support automated deployments by using tools and Git repositories.
- Supports development teams by providing infrastructure engineering assistance for application deployment and integration.
- Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above.
Requirements
- a proficiency with virtualization technologies and concepts, such as virtual machines (VMs), servers, storage, and compute management with common hypervisors such as VMware, KVM, OpenStack, or Nutanix AHV
- a proficiency with the use of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, Terraform, BitBucket and Git
- strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a physical and virtual environment
- and solid communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
- Certifications such as Red Hat Systems Engineer, Windows Administrator, or VMware Data Center Virtualization are preferred.
