About the role

  • Milhouse is looking for an energetic and driven Civil Engineering - Site Development Manager to join our downtown Chicago office.
  • This position reports directly to Milhouse's VP of Civil / Transportation and works in a collaborative environment that promotes innovation, work-life balance, and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a civil engineering design team of three to six people, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
  • Oversee and assist with the development and production of site and utility design plans and specifications from start to finish for public and private clients in Illinois
  • Design tasks typically include the oversight / development of conceptual site layouts, demo, grading, utility, drainage/ storm sewer plans and permitting
  • Maintain / grow positive client relationships and assist with business development efforts to continue expansion of our transportation project portfolio
  • Coach, mentor and develop staff while promoting a culture of innovation and work-life balance
  • Public Building Commission - Shoreline Mitigation Project
  • As the Section Manager of Civil Engineering for Site Development, you will be responsible for managing your own team of talented engineers, overseeing projects, and ensuring quality delivery for our clients.
  • This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced project manager who excels at leading civil engineering tasks for site development and building projects.
  • Work on and manage billable projects for a majority of your time.

Requirements
