About the role

Milhouse is looking for an energetic and driven Civil Engineering - Site Development Manager to join our downtown Chicago office.
This position reports directly to Milhouse's VP of Civil / Transportation and works in a collaborative environment that promotes innovation, work-life balance, and professional growth.

Lead and manage a civil engineering design team of three to six people, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
Oversee and assist with the development and production of site and utility design plans and specifications from start to finish for public and private clients in Illinois
Design tasks typically include the oversight / development of conceptual site layouts, demo, grading, utility, drainage/ storm sewer plans and permitting
Maintain / grow positive client relationships and assist with business development efforts to continue expansion of our transportation project portfolio
Coach, mentor and develop staff while promoting a culture of innovation and work-life balance
Public Building Commission - Shoreline Mitigation Project
As the Section Manager of Civil Engineering for Site Development, you will be responsible for managing your own team of talented engineers, overseeing projects, and ensuring quality delivery for our clients.
This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced project manager who excels at leading civil engineering tasks for site development and building projects.
Work on and manage billable projects for a majority of your time.
