About the role

  • Join a dynamic and rapidly growing Private Credit Group as the Head of Private Credit Fund Accounting, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of our private credit funds.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly closing process and manage all aspects of Private Credit fund general ledgers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage relationships with outsourced accounting resources and third-party service providers to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Drive technology enhancements and process automation initiatives to streamline accounting operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Investment Operations, Tax, and Compliance, to support ongoing operational and reporting needs.
  • This leadership position offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence and implement innovative solutions while fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
  • Proven ability to design and maintain control environments in accordance with COSO and SOX frameworks.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in asset management, particularly in BDC/private credit or leveraged finance structures.
  • Extensive experience with GAAP-based financial statements and SEC reporting, including knowledge of Regulations S-X and S-K.
  • Experience with general ledger packages such as Geneva or Everest.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting and compliance requirements for BDCs.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives and stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • advanced degree preferred, along with an active CPA license.

Compensation

  • Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, including SEC filings (Forms 10-Q and 10-K), adhering to US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Support annual external audits and conduct comprehensive US GAAP analyses on financial reporting and internal controls.
