Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with treatment teams to ensure services are delivered using a strengths-based, family-focused approach
  • Assist families in identifying, developing, and maintaining natural supports and protective factors that promote long-term success
  • Build collaborative relationships with agency partners and community organizations to support coordinated care
  • Support and facilitate training opportunities for Family Support Specialists as assigned
  • Maintain professional communication and collaboration with families, providers, and community stakeholders

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Lived experience raising a child with substance use, mental health, or co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of agency, partner, and community resources available to support youth and families receiving behavioral health services

Nice to have

  • Current driver's license required
  • Successful completion of criminal history, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint background checks required
  • Ability to work successfully with individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, socioeconomic, and economic backgrounds
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Utilize hands, fingers, and arms for repetitive activities such as typing, writing, and documentation throughout the workday
  • Remain seated for extended periods while completing administrative and documentation responsibilities
  • Occasionally stand and walk while attending meetings, supporting families, and performing job-related duties
