About the role

  • The EHS Manager owns site environmental, health, and safety management for MICU's semiconductor construction project.
  • The role focuses on construction safety, contractor safety management, OSHA compliance, semiconductor-specific hazards, cleanroom protocols, chemical/gas risk, emergency preparedness, and building a proactive safety culture across a fast-paced high-tech construction site.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the site EHS program, safety plans, orientations, permit/JHA/JSA processes, inspection routines, and contractor safety expectations.
  • Manage contractor/subcontractor safety performance, review safety documentation, lead safety meetings, and coach field teams on safe work practices.
  • Support hazard controls for construction activities and semiconductor-specific risks, including chemical handling, hazardous gases, high voltage, confined spaces, heavy equipment, cleanroom/gowning protocols, and tool installation interfaces.

Nice to have

  • 5-8+ years of progressive EHS experience required, with direct semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, chemical/process, or large-scale construction project experience required.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction required.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards, contractor safety management, JHA/JSA, incident investigation, emergency response, and multi-employer construction site requirements.
  • Experience with semiconductor/high-tech hazards such as process chemicals, gases, cleanroom protocols, high-voltage equipment, confined spaces, and tool installation activities.
  • OSHA 510/511, CHST, CSP, CIH, HAZWOPER, NFPA 318, SEMI S2, ISO 14001/45001, or semiconductor-specific EHS training strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred, but strong EHS field experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

  • Ability to interpret safety regulations and translate them into practical site controls.
  • Strong documentation, audit, reporting, and corrective-action follow-through.
