About the role
- Employment Type Full-time Reports To SVP, Head of Clinical & Medical Affairs Key Responsibilities Set the national vision, strategy, and operating model for the U.S. MSL organization, aligned to medical and corporate priorities.
- Define and govern standards for scientific engagement, including KOL strategy, external engagement planning, documentation, and compliant scientific exchange.
- Establish mechanisms to capture, synthesize, and communicate field insights to inform cross-functional decision-making, evidence generation, and strategy refinement.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a geographically dispersed team of MSLs; recruit, onboard, and retain top scientific talent.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Development, Regulatory, Commercial, and Market Access to support clinical trial awareness, launch readiness, and post-launch evidence plans.
- Own MSL performance measurement and impact reporting (KPIs/OKRs), including quality metrics, insight value, scientific engagement outcomes, and continuous improvement plans.
- Oversee relationship-building with national, regional, and local KOLs, academic centers, and community networks to ensure consistent, high-quality scientific dialogue.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in oncology with strong understanding of treatment paradigms, evolving standards of care, and clinical research trends.
- Experience with MSL CRM and activity tracking platforms (e.g., Veeva) and comfort using data to drive performance and planning.
Nice to have
- Experience designing insight systems and impact measurement frameworks (quality metrics, outcomes, and value storytelling).
- Flexibility to attend major oncology conferences (e.g., ASCO, ASH, SOHO) and key regional meetings, including occasional weekend travel.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel by air and ground as required.
Compensation
- $245k-$303k
