About the role

This is a unique opportunity for candidates with a finance or investment banking background to obtain oil and gas experience in the context of corporate finance with a premier E&P operator.
The position will be focused on maintaining the company's corporate model and working with management to set the strategic direction of the company.
The position will report to the Director of Corporate Planning.

The Chord Energy Finance Department is seeking a senior financial analyst to support the company's corporate planning efforts.
Maintain and improve corporate budgeting, planning and modeling processes.
Support operations groups within the company by providing analysis on strategic initiatives.
Effectively build presentations and communicate financial information to senior level executives.

Bachelor's Degree
Must have the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all levels of the organization and across many different disciplines.
Ability to take ownership of new tasks and problems and solve them with precision and thoughtfulness.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess the ability to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, copier, files, telephone, and fax

3 years of experience in either the finance field or with an oil and gas operating company (upstream experience a plus) or 1 year of investment banking experience.
Expert Excel, PowerPoint, and Word user (experience with technical tools such as Spotfire, Enersight, Enverus a plus).

Perform ad hoc financial analysis to enable the company to most optimally allocate capital and make return of capital decisions.
