About the role
- Vision: Healthy People in Healthy Communities.
- This position is responsible for the delivery of family oriented medical care services as well as providing general professional guidance of primary care staff.
- Work performance is reviewed for conformance to policies, procedures and practices related to integrated family health care delivery.
Requirements
- Must have a permanent and unrestricted license to practice medicine or osteopathy in Arizona.
- Must have current board certification in family practice and maintain certification.
- Must have current medication dispensing license (DEA).
- Experience and training must have been progressive and responsible, demonstrating good knowledge of current principles, practices, methods, and techniques in the field of medicine.
- Current BLS certification is required.
Nice to have
- Three years of experience in an outpatient family practice or comparable setting is preferred.
- Current ACLS certification is preferred.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of current evidence-based family medicine guidelines.
- Skills in providing diagnostic, preventive, and/or therapeutic services to patients.
- Knowledge of public health, community health, and population health.
- Ability to work effectively with staff members who have a variety of backgrounds and training.
- Ability to accomplish the quality and quantity of work expected within set limits of cost and time.
- Proficient with computer based applications such as Microsoft Office.
- Ability to establish rapport and gain the confidence of others.
- Ability to assess quality patient care.
- Ability to provide cross coverage at NATIVE HEALTH clinic locations as needed.
- Must be able to work with confidential material without betraying the trust of patients, families, or the agency.
- Knowledge of the cultural and social backgrounds of the Native American and under or uninsured population.
- Demonstrate adherence to principles of confidentiality, scientific/academic integrity, informed consent, and ethical practice.
Compensation
- Negotiable - DOE
- Participates as an active member of an integrated patient centered team.
- Provides oversight of Physician Assistants.
- Supports the organization as needed.
- Strong knowledge of current evidence-based family medicine guidelines.
- Skills in providing diagnostic, preventive, and/or therapeutic services to patients.
