- The Engineer III position will participate in planning and estimation of software development tasks and will provide technical guidance and mentoring to lessor experienced Engineers.
- The position will also be responsible for working with and providing guidance to tool sets used with our controllers in production.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software solutions using C#, JavaScript, Angular, Blazor, and Linux-based technologies, delivering scalable and reliable functionality.
- Lead technical design decisions and solution architecture, balancing business requirements, technical standards, cost, and long-term maintainability.
- Develop and support embedded, server-based, and network-connected systems used to monitor and control power generation products.
- Build and enhance web, mobile, and API-based applications, ensuring performance, scalability, interoperability, and extensibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle, including planning, design reviews, code reviews, testing, and release activities.
- Mentor and develop engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and best-practice coaching.

- The Senior Software Development Engineer is a senior member of a team developing and testing power generation control systems that can be remotely controlled and monitored using web and mobile technology solutions.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline
- 5 years of relevant work experience
Nice to have
- Advanced proficiency in C# and JavaScript, with experience developing complex, integrated software applications.
- Strong experience working in Linux environments, including deployment, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
- Deep understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, Ethernet communications, and client-server architectures.
- Experience designing and supporting server-based applications and services in distributed environments.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues across application, operating system, and network layers while providing technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams.
