Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, test, and implement leak detection technologies through Colonial's R&D process.
  • Lead the Leak Analysis Team and provide technical and operational support for leak detection investigations.
  • Develop, maintain, and organize program documentation, design specifications, maintenance specifications, measurement specifications, policies, and procedures.
  • Track program performance through Key Performance Indicators and manage a comprehensive Leak Detection System testing program.
  • Collaborate closely with Field Operations, asset owners, Compliance, Government Affairs, Public Affairs, Communications, and other stakeholders.
  • Build, develop, and lead the team by prioritizing work, distributing workload, coaching team members, monitoring performance, delivering reviews, and cultivating growth opportunities.
  • Creative problem-solving approach with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or a related technical field from an accredited college or university.
  • Strong understanding of the pipeline industry and Colonial's business processes.

Skills

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and improving management systems.
  • Ability to influence peers and industry leaders while cultivating strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Demonstrated implementation of cross-functional projects and change initiatives.
  • Ability to research, analyze results, troubleshoot complex issues, and translate insights into recommendations.

Compensation

  • Develop and execute comprehensive leak detection and measurement strategies, including annual and long-range budget planning.
  • Manage and forecast an annual department budget of approximately $20MM and plan capital upgrades and investments.
  • Lead benchmarking, annual cross-functional reviews, and continuous improvement efforts, including PDCA activities for LDP as an SMS Element.
