About the role
- This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer to grow their skills in distributed systems and storage engineering while contributing to high-performance, scalable, and reliable storage solutions.
- You'll work alongside experienced engineers, learning cloud storage primitives and storage engineering concepts as you take on increasingly independent ownership of features and projects.
- Software Development: Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code with guidance from senior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Take part in code reviews (both giving and receiving feedback), and participate in architecture and design discussions to build your understanding of the broader system.
- Ask questions, seek feedback, and build foundational knowledge in distributed storage systems.

Requirements
- Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java or Go.
Skills
- Coursework, personal projects, or internship experience involving storage technologies (e.g., NVMe, SSDs) or distributed systems.
- Exposure to storage protocols such as NFS, SMB, iSCSI, or NVMe-oF.
- Any contributions to open source projects (school-related or personal).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (physical or software-defined).

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Compensation
- Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $117,000 - $138,000 + Bonus.
- Compensation to be determined by the applicant's knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
