Requirements

  • Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.

  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in state(s) of employment required.
  • Will require applying for additional state licenses as needed upon 90 days of hire.

  • Position Summary
  • At OhioHealth at Home in Partnership with Compassus, the Hospice Director of Clinical Services - Weekend is responsible for modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation.
  • The Hospice Director of Clinical Services - Weekend supervises the weekend on-call team, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team (IDT), in meeting the needs of the hospice patient and family in a manner consistent with the guidelines and policies of Compassus.
  • Position Specific Responsibilities
  • Supervises on-call nurses during weekend hours: planning, assigning, and directing work as outlined by program Hospice Director of Clinical Services (DCS) or Hospice Area Executive of Clinical Operations (ACO).
  • Reads and incorporates into practice the requirements of the Hospice Conditions of Participation for Medicare, applicable accreditation standards, and state or other rules and regulations as applicable to the program.
  • Oversees Cares Program, that all patients admitted Acuity 1, assign visits as needed, follow up visits completed.
  • Acts as Region Administrator on weekends - addresses problems and ensures timely response for all programs. Answers administrative questions and contacts the Hospice Area Executive of Clinical Outcomes directly (not DCS) for any serious issues that arise.
