About the role
- This is a safety-sensitive position that reports to the Safety Superintendent, works onsite with two other Field Safety Specialists, and is part of the EHS team.
- Train employees in EHS policies through meetings and sessions.
- Promote safe work practices by mentoring, coaching, and observing employees.
Responsibilities
- You will identify improvement opportunities, implement safety programs, and impact personal safety, emergency preparedness, and response performance.
- As an important member of the CF Industries team, the specialist leads and trains teams to maintain high safety standards and positively influence the site's safety culture.
- Develop and update safety procedures.
- Develop and implement the industrial hygiene monitoring program.
- Implement controls to reduce exposure.
- Support implementation and compliance with security procedures.
- These tools support but do not replace human decision-making, and all final employment decisions are made by our Talent Acquisition team and/or hiring managers exercising independent judgment.
Requirements
- Prefer bachelor's degree in safety related field.
