Responsibilities
- Support the Federal Work Study (CSLP) Manager by managing multiple projects and office duties including department inboxes, office guests, data entry with accuracy, and engaging with students and employers to connect them with CSLP and Career Services resources.
- Assist Career Services staff in providing CSLP student support, including sharing job opportunities, system navigation, tracking time sheets, building electronic resources, and implementing ways to increase awareness of departmental resources and opportunities to students.
- Contribute to the department through continual engagement with non-profit organization representatives and management of organization contacts. Support CSLP-related events including career fairs and Career Services events.
- Utilize department system(s) and technology to track and maintain documentation of where students have obtained CSLP internships, career opportunities, and more.
- Create, analyze, and disseminate system reports on employer and student engagement, while providing suggestions for improvement.
- Collaborate efficiently and professionally with other university departments and leadership, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to FERPA regulations.
- The purpose of this position is to support the growth, efforts, and goals of the Career Services department by completing related projects such as assisting the Federal Work Study (CSLP) Manager in various tasks including time sheet tracking, non-profit relations, career events, social media, using systems/technology to track data, and varied administrative functions.
Requirements
- Ability to quickly grasp and utilize new concepts and technologies - video/filming and social media capabilities are desired.
- Exceptional ability to organize information and pay attention to detail.
- Possess a strong ability to handle the stress of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment while managing time to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Have passion and willingness to help others succeed.
- Possess strong ethics, integrity, and sense of responsibility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - written, in person and via phone; maintaining a professional, composed manner when interacting with internal and external customers.
- Excels in a team environment while able to complete some autonomous projects.
Nice to have
- Previous mentoring, advising, event operations, or office experience a plus.
- Possession of a valid driver's license to operate department carts on campus a plus.
- Ability to speak a second language a plus.
- 3.25 GPA or above is preferred.
